It was convenient to the train station, had nice, clean rooms and it was great to be able to arrive as early as 2pm! It was quite expensive compared to the value and I would have appreciated if the reception was open to giving me a late check out of one hour, but they were not willing to entertain it. It served our purpose well though, so I am happy.

We arrived late and picked up our keys for the room from the front desk. There was no hotel staff at that time. We went to the room and found out that the key card reader was missing. So we couldn't get into the room. We called the emergency number and the person at the other end said that he was in Zurich and couldn't help us. He said he doesn't know anything about how to contact the hotel people. We were desperate. By then it was midnight. We finally managed to find a room at Hotel Merkur in Biel. They have staff at the hotel 24 hours a day. It was a very good hotel and the same price as the City Hotel Biel. We have never seen such a terrible hotel as this City Hotel Biel. They do not care about you and they can leave you stranded.

My room was very nice, enough space, spotless and felt newly renovated. The overall feel of the hotel is old and in need of updating - maybe they haven’t finished the job yet. This hotel is centrally located. Has a private car park and offers breakfast included. Overall great.

Good hotel but not in hot days

The hotel was without AC and the temperature was 35 deg during the day. No chance to cool down during the night without opening the window. It was right over the main street with a lot of traffic so the noise was terrible. With the closed window, it was impossible to breath.

Hatte ein Eco-Einzelzimmer - klein aber fein. War alles vorhanden was man braucht. Breites Bett, Schreibtisch mit Steckdose, grosser Fernsehbildschirm mit allen Programmen. Kaffeemaschine und Kühlschrank braucht man nicht im Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück. Werde Hotel wieder wählen.
