A great place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. The kitchen allowed extra space to work and having a fridge and microwave was an added bonus. I would definately stay here again.
Check-in was easy, room was clean, and the property seemed well maintained. It wasn't anything fancy, but definitely more than adequate for my few days' stay. I would stay again.
Be sure to write down the hotel address and phone number before you get to Bethel. You may not have internet in Bethel (until you get onto the hotel WiFi), and there is no sign on the building apart from the address, and there is no one waiting at a front desk. Call when you arrive and they come over right away to help you. Love this place for the kitchen areas, the view, the cleanliness and the staff!
This is a relatively tough review to write as Bethel is not London nor is is Paris. Bethel is remote Alaska which means that the entire area is austere, to say the least. The River House is perfect for that setting. I was there during and ice storm and a blizzard (one followed the other). The hotel was clean, warm, dry, comfortable and well stocked in its kitchens. It was quiet and everything worked well. Put simply, it was perfect for what it needed to be. I am certain I will stay there again when I go back to Bethel.
