"We had booked a room at the hotel, but it turned out the room was located in a separate 4 room cottage down a trail where we had to drive by car. We did not feel comfortable there, and room was relatively expensive. Therefore we drove back to the reception to ask for a room at the main hotel. In the reception they claimed that we had booked a room in the cottage. But no cottages were shown at booking by pictures or in writing, nor in our confirmation. "It is situated in tranquil village around the old monastery. Check in, Restaurant and Bar are in main Hotel Kloster Haydau in approx. 100m distance from The Old Post Station. Private parking in Poststation private yards normally possible. Very friendly staff. This was my second night spent here, first was Year ago. Price performance ratio is splendid, and only some 30kms away from Autobahns, You can have nice and peaceful stay in rural area. I'll definitely reserve a room again."

Room was lovely and roomey for two friends on a serendipitous 1 night adventure. Great heating and fancy tap which gives you hot water, mineral water, sparkling water and mild sparkling water! "The hotel is located near many small shops and restaurants. Quiet location with easy parking. Be aware that there are many stairs and no elevator...We ate dinner at the restaurant there and were very happy with our meal. I would definitely recommend this hotel."
