"The room was spic N span! The staff was so helpful, courteous and accommodating. Due to no air conditioning & opening the window, the ceiling fan was just not enough for cooling. I would recommend making the wall unit a duel combo making it AC & Heat. Besides excellent lodging accommodations, the recommendations for restaurants were excellent - the Stonefly offers the best fine dining. For drinks and simple meals, the Cutthroat Restaurant offers very good food items. We experienced a great get-away for two nights in Markleeville and I highly recommend it to all travelers of all ages."

"Everything was wonderful we stayed one night there I booked three rooms for me and my cousin visiting from out of state with four kids all rooms were very clean spacious and has everything you can think of to make us comfortable like at home staff were very helpful when checked in and the next day in the morning it was my first time up there if I go up there again that’s where I will stay."

"We loved our stay. The room was very clean and had all the amenities. The bedding and bed was clean and comfortable as well. We did not need anything which was great. On top of the stay the location was great, close to everything. Would stay again and highly recommend."

"This was my second time at the hotel. It is a little bit of history. It is showing its wear and tear, but there are views of Lake Topaz from many rooms. The restaurant overlooks the lake too. There is a casino and a friendly bar. They give you a drink coupon for each guest. I plan to return anytime I am in that area."

"Check-in is a different motel a block over. Only weird thing. Room was fine. Clean. AC worked, pillows are hard and a foot thick, so bring your own. Convenient location if a bit far from the active side of tahoe."

"The owner/proprietor was very friendly. I liked the assortment of snacks and items in the lobby that were offered for free. If we had more time, we would have liked to have used the bbqs and picnic tables on the grounds. Loved the full-sized refrigerator—freezer in the room. And plenty of room to park our SUV with 20 ft Airstream trailer."
