The Winyard’s Gap is in a beautiful setting. The rooms are perfect, clean, fresh and comfortable. Staff very friendly and give an excellent service. Food in restaurant is excellent. Will definitely visit again whether it be to eat or stay.

Relaxing Holiday
We found everyone at the Inn very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent the only grumble was because I am not very tall, I had problems geting in and out of a very deep bath. The food was very good. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was ok. The room was spacious and the welcome was pleasant. However, we were disappointed to see and hear a fight break out in the car park and when we woke in the morning to get ready for the wedding we were attending, there was no hot water which was extremely frustrating.

As always this is a top place to stay, rooms are lovely, food is great and staff are amazing.

Five stars. More than five stars if it were an option!! The staff at this hotel are absolute legends, especially Lucy and the chef. We aren’t local to the area and stayed at the hotel this past weekend to attend a wedding. We had to ask for an early check in to accommodate us, and sure enough our room was ready as had been promised despite our early arrival. At the point we were getting ready, disaster struck as my partner discovered he had left his suit trousers at home! Without hesitating the team sprung into action: the chef offering his own suit from upstairs, Lucy immediately drove home to collect two suits, one from her partner the other her father, and had somehow returned within ten minutes of this all starting. Thankfully one of the suits fitted — we cannot begin to thank them enough for their help. They truly saved the day! To top it all off, the room was fantastic, and the breakfast amazing. If we ever return to the area, this is the only property we would ever consider staying at!

Great pub with rooms!
Great little place to stay. The modern rooms are separate to the pub and clean, comfortable and quiet! Great breakfast and a superb view over the hills if eating outside. They were very dog friendly in both the pub and the room.

Our small family had a really lovely 3 day break at Winyard's Gap Inn. The staff were uniformly welcoming, friendly and quick in their service. The room was nicely decorated, quiet and well appointed. The food (dinners and breakfasts) was great quality and good variety, served in a friendly and comfortable pub. The pub is about a 30 min drive from beautiful Dorset beaches, with lots of local walks across countryside. Highly recommended.

Room 1
I arrived quite late and the staff were very busy but they welcomed me and Graham and Lucy were brilliant. Graham the manager helped me to my room with all my bags and luggage as i walk with a stock and had several levels of steps(not steep). I was in room 1 beautifully clean and modern, just a couple of issues on stepping into the room the matt was lover than the edging so a trip factor, no handrail in the bath area, and a new battery needed in clock. But it was lovely, i had the ribeye steak medium and it was perfect as was the Cheddington mess (eton mess) but nicer. Bed was so comfortable and they even supplied lactose free milk and decaff coffee and tea. Fabulous service. Maybe another slight negative was the food was rather expensive but i enjoyed all meals i had here. Well done from ne i loved staying at Winyards gap inn. Thank you so much.

A great location , with large modern rooms but traditional pub/inn style approach. Excellent food and staff extremely welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this and i would definitely stay here again.

Stunning views and clean accommodation
The accommodation was great although this is accessed via a few steps so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. The location was stunning and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this venue

This was out second stay at Winyard Gap Inn and we were as pleased with our comfortable stay and the warm welcome we received as we were the first time - especially with the staff currently working under challenging circumstances. Have booked to return.

Good all Rounder
Beautiful warm rooms in a good location. Tea and coffee making facilities, Rooms look brand new. English breakfast is £10 extra and Continental breakfast is around £6. All rooms attached to each other behind the pub. Rooms had paper thin walls, I could hear everything the room next to me was doing from drawing the blinds, to having a shower and could also hear some of the conversations (I might have had noisy neighbours). Good all rounder and I would stay here again!

Great Stay
Very good value for price - lovely room and en suite, good breakfast. The Pub is near some lovely walks. Great pub food in the evening. Literally the only down side is you can't check in between 3 pm and 6 pm as the pub is closed - would be good if there was a key-box system for check-ins between these hours.

We loved Winyards Gap-our room & new en-suite was bright, modern & extremely comfortable; the restaurant choice was amazing and all our meals were divine. We only booked to stay one night, but will be booking for longer next time so we can explore the area more (we only had chance to go for a walk nearby after dinner and it was so beautiful). Highly highly highly recommended!

Like a new pin
We were exploring one of our favourite regions and wanted a nice but good value stop over. The WGI turned out to be ideal. We had a room at the rear of the Inn in one of their lodges built about 2 years ago but which looked and felt brand new...like a new pin. Great big comfy bed. Crisp white linen. Lovely bathroom. Warm but spaceous with a volted ceiling. Really nice. A luxurious night was followed by a delicious breakfast. Great place to stay!
