"Great place to stay definitely recommend "

"No lift but staff assisted with my case. Dinner cooked to order so time to chat with other guests. Single room compact and very warm so needed fan which was provided. All staff very pleasant."

"This place is a gem. The owners are warm, welcoming and very helpful, and so are the rest of the staff. The place is reminiscent of the best of a traditional guest house, but with a modern clean feel. The amenities in the room were plentiful, and with the guests’ comfort in mind. The extra touches were much appreciated, as was the cleanliness and cotton sheets. The breakfast room is bright and airy, with white linen table cloths and pretty china. "Really comfortable bed. Super clean. Great for a couple of nights stay. Close to the University to meet up with our daughter. Would recommend the Beth Chatto Garden near by for a visit. "

"Fine for an overnight stay. Receptionist handed the key wordlessly, beds were not great and there was a bit of noise but not enough to do me sleeping. You get what you pay for etc!"

"Der Empfang war herzlich und warm. Das Hotel liegt ruhig, angenehmes Bett und großes Badezimmer. Parkplätze im bewachten Hof, Preis-/Leistung super :)"

"Location and space for dog"

"When we arrived we were put on the 2nd floor but the lift wasn't working thankfully the staff carried our suitcases up, got to our room seemed ok .nice and warm but what we didn't realise at the time the heating had just gone off and later we found out it comes on full with no chance of turning it off and your can't open the windows. "Everything was superb. See a fuller review on the Sykews Cottages website."

"Very nice location close to the harbour and ferry. Restaurant with an adequate menu for hotel guests only. Room has no airco but a fan instead."

"Two adults stayed. Used both bedrooms. Very hot but able to open windows. Enjoyed the upstairs outside deck when we were there. Useful having washing machine. Plenty of street parking, but tight spaces & don’t rely on parking directly outside. Bathroom tiny but fit for purpose. Easy walk to beach front. Thank you "
