The food was always great particularly the breakfast and came out wonderfully hot and on hot place which is so often an issue in other hotels. "What a beautiful location! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were all so freindly and helpful, especially the extremely polite dark haired gentleman at the bar when we arrived. He took the trouble to show me to the room and explained everything. The breakfast was also very good, great choice and lovely to sit with a view of the Abbey. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend."

When we were there we ate both dinner and breakfast outside which was lovely, again looking over extensive grounds (although oddly the second tier of the garden below the main level was not well maintained at all) However the feel of the place was a bit chaotic and we heard a number of guests complaining about things which should have been easily remedied (tvs not right, AC not entirely working and so on) We had a lovely dinner but one of our servers made...

"The hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment as it is dated, very tired looking and in parts very tatty. Having said that the room I was allocated was large and spotless. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom amenities were acceptable. The breakfast at this hotel was very good. The car park is small and I was lucky to get a parking space during my stay.
