Fantastic staff, relaxed vibe and amazing food

I had a great stay here for a week long business trip, the staff are friendly and ensure that you have a really enjoyable and stress free stay. The hotel itself has a trendy vibe but with everything you need including great breakfast, delicious food and drinks for day and evening as well. I’ll be heading back for my future trips to Basel!

Great place for Basel visit

Hotel is situated in the place of Basel. Trams go directly closely, Art museum is close. Urban room is elegant and cosy. Breakfast great. Very much recommended!

Everything was excellent except the AC!!

Being a foreigner in Switzerland, I would have liked the TV to be really able to show subtitles. That was nearly impossible to do. The room was wonderfully located and very decently sized. The AC unit in the room was only adequate, and given the unusual heat at that time, an AC unit which could be adjusted would have been preferred. However, I did love the idea of getting away from the hyper-expensive AC systems as an idea.

An excellent experience

Room and hotel in general is in perfect condition and modernly decorated. They gave us free room upgrade which is wonderful. Breakfast has variety of options, even you can make your own waffle. Also, there is a library room for spending time with free coffee and tea. We are planning to stay again in soon.

Most Comfortable Bed

Sparkling clean, efficient modern room with the most comfortable bed of our trip! Good breakfast too. Ask in advance about parking arrangements - we parked in a very close public garage but the hotel has an arrangement with another one. Since it was full on the day we arrived, it did not matter we did not know in advance.

Good Hotel. Just not in the Summer months.

Nice new hotel on a quite street, near the river and walkable to the train station. Busy street around the corner - markets and restaurants galore. (But very sleepy on a Sunday - as is much of Switzerland). Top floor rooms have a nice deck and those deluxe rooms are worth the extra price. Coffee makers down the hall, with fresh fruit offered. Bar downstairs is very pricey. NOTE: I am very certain that the Nomad listed Air Conditioning as an amenity when I booked. (I always check). The listing has changed. And to be clear, the Nomad does not have Air Con. We were there when the car said it was 37.5 (99.5 F) when we pulled up. It was not welcomed to have such a hot room.

Initial room adjacent to elevator, which was very noisy - relocated us to much better room, w/o too much haggling. Room spacious, & clean. Great Workout/ Sauna areas. Abit noisy at night but fine for one night. Parking and room tax issue at end of stay. I informed them to put on room card. Did not happen and they keep sending me emails to pay- grr.

Wir haben einen runden Geburtstag von meinem Mann in Basel gefeiert und das Hotel war wirklich toll. Wir haben wegen dem Geburtstag kurzfristig ein Upgrade erhalten und im Restaurant am Abend einen Blumenstrauß, vielen Dank dafür. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, hochwertig und stylisch. Das Frühstück war auch wirklich sehr gut! Am ersten Morgen war es etwas laut, aber mit geschlossenen Fenstern konnte man schlafen. Am zweiten Morgen war es sehr ruhig, da keine Müllabfuhr etc. unterwegs, aber für ein Hotel mitten in der Stadt ist das völlig normal. Die Lage war unschlagbar, konnten Vieles zu Fuß erreichen und es fahren mehrere Trams in direkter Umgebung, zum Bahnhof kann man sogar laufen. Die Mitarbeiter waren auch alle sehr freundlich, grundsätzlich herrscht im Hotel eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Direkt vor unserem Zimmer war die ‚Bar‘ mit Wasser, Kaffee, Tee und Obst.

The hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The room was super modern and stylish (I loved the design details), and little touches like a refillable water bottle and a Dyson air purifier really stood out. The location is also spot on: an easy walk from the train station and close to all the main sights and great restaurants. I’m not sure what anyone could dislike, though to be fair, I was only there for one night… maybe not long enough to find any flaws! 😄 Would definitely stay again.
