"The staff is very nice. Book some tours through their partner agency because they have friendly and knowledgeable guides. A few friendly cats in the area, buy some whiskers from the grocery store and make some friends. Sloths in the tree outside. The beach is a few feet away if that’s your thing as well, very shallow water but a refreshing dip. The jungle park is just down the street, 6km out and back close to the beach with some good wildlife. Friendly locals, probably a bit crowded during busy season, but all good vibes. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants but they all have similar menus, not the greatest cuisine but good enough. "

Maverick, the hotel front desk concierge, was very friendly and patient with us. He welcomed us on our first day and answered all of our questions. Maverick arranged all our tours with Andy for the night tour and Abel for the morning boat tour. Both did a fantastic job, but especially Abel, who went above and beyond on the wildlife tour. The location is quite safe, with staff securing the premises after a certain time. It is within walking distance of everything. My wife and I stayed for the weekend, which was more than enough time to complete all the tours and hikes, leaving us tired but accomplished. The restaurant next door serves very good seafood; we dined there almost every day. We highly recommend their piña coladas I would have two every day. It was about the experience and memories for us. The location is very safe, although the nightlife can get quite loud. We don't recommend staying out after 10:30 PM."
