"If you are visiting Sheffield you can’t go wrong with a stay at this hotel. So easy into sheffield( we were at the Arena) lovely and clean and new. Fab staff and service and food was great in restaurant."

"The first night was noisy a car came into car park at 2am and was blasting music out and guest or two banging doors and knocking on door The second night was better. Only a two night stay for an event. Housekeeping on Saturday did not replace complimentary tea and coffee bin not emptied and beds not straightened up after 1st night. It's basic no thrills hotel. Also lift out of order."

"This was hands down the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and cheery. They made us feel at home and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The wait staff was exceptional as well. The food was excellent, the setting idyllic, and location walkable to The Chatsworth House! "The room was fine, not exceptional, for me, as I was only staying for 6 nights. I hadn't booked breakfast as it was only offered on a Sunday, but there is a "Sandwich Stop" attached to the hotel in the car park. Parking was adequate, but trying to exit onto the busy main road was a nightmare, as the hedges were so overgrown and hadn't been trimmed, so it was impossible to see traffic approaching from both directions. "Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Kettle and coffee machine with good supply of tea, coffee and fresh milk. Staff friendly and efficient. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Lovely location for a walking break - we appreciated use of the pub car park before check-in/after check-out. Would stay here again in future."

"Excellent location in centre of Buxton and helpfulness of staff. Very good breakfast and good value for money overall. Ancient and very temperamental lift meant that most users did not understand its quirks, and so it was often left on the wrong floor. This would cause problems for those having difficulty with stairs. Also modern bathroom had inadequate grab handles in the shower."

We finally found a few customers who told us that only member of staff doing front of house was getting ice cream for their daughter. "Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome."

"The hotel was so clean from the drive, reception & bar area right through to the room. Staff were so friendly & helpful & represented the hotel very well. The room was spotless, roomy, bright, enormous super comfortable bed & had great mirrors in room & bathroom something we often get in more expensive hotels. It's in a very convenient location for M18 & link to M1 so not far at all from Doncaster lakeside outlet. Plenty of parking, Lovely Greene King pub, petrol station & fairly large...
