Top Bang Po Hotel Reviews
OZO Chaweng Samui
"Excellent resort, Great beach and facilities. Gym is very small, if that is something you want to use & rooms relatively small, but suffice and all you need. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great too. Will definitely be back."
Sheraton Samui Resort
"It was an amazing stay, very family friendly. We stayed for 14 nights with our family and we had only positive experiences in the hotel. We loved the beach, pool, food at Blue Monkey and all the staff were wonderful."
Conrad Koh Samui
"It’s a great place if you want to get away from it all. It’s a bit secluded from the rest of the island, so best if you are planning on staying on the property and make use of their facilities and activities. But there is plenty to do."
The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui
"Our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui was absolutely exceptional. The resort is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views, beautifully maintained grounds, and luxurious accommodations. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The food was delicious, the amenities were top-notch, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Every detail reflected outstanding service and hospitality. We left with unforgettable memories and can't wait to return. Highly recommend this beautiful resort to anyone visiting Koh Samui!"
Panviman Resort, Koh Phangan
"The resort is fabulous. All room are hidden in the jungle."
Al's Resort
"Everything about the hotel was acceptable but I was looking for more for the price. I felt the rooms were lacking in privacy. The rooms big glass doors all open onto a thoroughfare. So you had to close your curtains all the time to avoid people looking in as they walked by. So basically a room with no window. The bathroom was pretty basic and small. The room was fairly spacious. It was safe and quiet at night and the hotel well located in Chaweng beach area. Transport by public transport vans readily available. The pool was not as inviting as the pictures and smallish for a large resort. Access to beach was good and a pretty area. Breakfast was okay to good but could have been better. I would probably look elsewhere next visit. But overall an okay stay."
Chaweng Garden Beach Resort
"Right in the centre of town, restaurants, shops, bars. Enter the resort and you’re immediately a million miles away in sand, garden, peace and quiet. Pool right on the beach front, deck chairs on the beach sand. Some light music noise from next doors beach club however slept with a smile every night. 10 out of 10."
Explorar Koh Samui – Adults Only Resort and Spa
"All was great"
Melati Beach Resort & Spa
"Positives: 1) Location is good, next to high end properties. 2) the layout of the hotel is really nice, with lots of greenery, nice lobby and amenities, and spacious rooms. 3) The staff were very helpful and friendly. Responded well to calls and requests. 4) the breakfast is amazing. Lots of high quality items. They have healthy and gluten free options too. Negatives: 1) Whilst Location is good, it has nothing within walkable distance. Others were closer to the shopping areas. You can hear flights over the resort. 2) We were supposed to get 2 single beds for our boys, but got one sofa bed for 2, which wasn't a comfortable one. 3) the AC in the living room wasn't cooling. We had the technicians visiting twice but didn't really fix the issue. 4) the swimming beach is poorly maintained. We hit rocks and sea plants everywhere. No guests could swim. 5) the gym is average. Not a 5* resort standard."

The island ofSamui is a wonderful place for a beach holiday. One of the quietest and most romantic spots on the island is Bang Po, a peaceful and stunning golden beach on Samui’s northern coastline. Along this beach is a variety of excellent resorts and hotels, not to mention some delightful restaurants. It’s also just a short drive from Nathon, the island’s capital ‘city’.
Don’t MissThere are several exciting things to see and do when holidaying at Bang Po.
There are a number of attractions worth seeing in and around Bang Po. The Magic Garden is about two kilometres south of the Samui capital, and just 25 minutes by car from Bang Po. This impressive park is also known as Secret Buddha Garden, and not only has various sculptures, but also unbeatable views of the surrounding island. Close to Bang Po is Hin Lat Waterfall. Offering a nice natural pool, this waterfall should not be missed.
Not far from the beaches of Bang Po stand plenty of spa options so tourists can afind ways to relax. Most of these rejuvenating spas are found in or around the area’s resorts. Both Vara Spa and Natural Wing are the perfect spots to enjoy a few hours of complete relaxation.
Restaurants and BarsThere are several restaurant options along Bang Po’s beachfront, both in and outside the local resorts. Most of the dining establishments serve a mix of seafood and authentic Thai cuisine. However, the more established restaurants in the larger resorts cater for international tastes as well. Most of the restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, and provide beautiful views of the Gulf of Thailand. Nightlife in Bang Po is limited, although Chaweng and Nathon are only a 10 to 20-minute drive away.
