"I recently had a good 5 night stay here with my girlfriend. Room was large and clean. However the room and hotel is generally a little tired and could do with a makeover. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was decent enough. The hotel was close enough to the big shopping centre with cinema, ice rink, and bowling and also the bars. "The rooms were HUGE, and staff excellent. Be aware, this old building does not have an elevator. My family friend, 79 years old, had a difficult time with the stairs. It was my fault not catching this, but other than that, The Irish Clock is a gem.
I don't drink alcohol when in TH, but my friend does, so the bar downstairs was great. We ate at the restaurant twice and both times were spot on! I had the fish and chips both times, and couldn't finish my plate.
