Revisited the Bay View after many years. On earlier visit had been very impressed but on this occasion we were disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the room. Manager acted promptly to change our room. However refurbishment seems long overdue. The dining/ food was excellent and staff friendly. But in terms of rating 4 stars it is not. 3 stars more appropriate and rooms very overpriced.
Disappointing, Standards gave slipped. Kettle not working, tall lamp not working, I had to clean the toilet bowl. No toilet roll on the roll holder . Food was very expensive. Won’t be going back unfortunately
I enjoyed my welcome from reception my large room tho next time would try for doors and balcony. Terrace great with wonderful views. Exceptional service in forwarding the chargers I had left behind. Thx !
The location was excellent but this hotel was expensive, food and drink, in particular, was expensive. e.g. a glass of wine €9 a tiny portion of desert €9.50. The room we were staying in had a tiny window which left our room very dark even on a bright day. We had to drive 15 mins in the car to use a pool in another hotel. When we asked at reception for a room with a bigger window to appreciate the view we were told that would cost us 0ver €200 more. So overall we were disappointed
Very nice hotel in a very small town. Can walk to everything. Spacious rooms well appointed and right on the water so great view. Only negative was that carpet was somewhat soiled. We didn't eat or drink here as frequented the local establishments so no comment on these operations. Clientele seemed a bit on the older side.
Nothing beats the location, with the wonderful view of the water, the lighthouse, and the pier and seawall. Just a brief walk to the pier, the cliffs and to town. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, although the bathrooms could use some updating.
Really enjoyed stay, very clean and very good service, excellent food. What I did not like is that it advertised a pool and a spa area with photos which in fact is not on site which but is avail right with a sister hotel some 10km away..
Seaside property with beautiful views. Menu was too fancy for me, but I am not a fancy eater. They have a kid's menu so that made dinner easier for our young one.
Stayed in this beautiful hotel with my partner recently and loved everything about it. Staff were so friendly, a big shout out to Marie on reception, she's a jem. Rooms spotless and comfortable. We had dinner in the bar, it was nice but steak very fatty and potatoes were a bit cold. A choice of fillet would be nice instead of ribeye. Other than that it was lovely. We will return.
Beautiful- incredible location - just lovely and charming. And the food was delicious, our bed comfortable, our view extraordinary. We loved our time here and hope we will be lucky enough to return some day!
We had no idea where we were going! This place is way out of the way but so worth it! It’s a beautiful hotel in an amazing setting right by the bay. We walked down the hill for about 10 minutes and found a nice pub. Make sure a take the cliff walk high above the Atlantic Ocean. It’s an amazing view! The room was so comfortable I had a hard time gettting my wife out of bed! Neither one of us wanted to leave! Would stay here again and again!
Enjoyed 2 nights at Bayview during our 5 week trip through Ireland, England and Scotland. This was one of our favorite spots! Although the place isn't brand shiny new, it is in wonderful condition and has been kept very clean. We spent hours enjoying the sunshine and view from the terrace restaurant/bar and had wonderful meals in the dining room. If we lived closer, these 2 Canadians would come back for sure!
Great place to stay , friendly staff, a very nice room and a good sze bathroom , as so many hotels have tiny bathrooms , and the breakfast was fantastic, and a good choice from the menu, all freshly cooked ,on hot plates
Comfortable room let down by grubby bathroom. Fungus and bloodstain on wall near toilet, cracked basin and fungus around shower. Needs updating but a good clean would help.
Location is truly everything. Stunning views of the bay (we had the end of a rainbow right outside our front), light house and cliff walk. Food was limited but stunning. Choices of fish were based on what that day. Pubs within walking distance were great. The rooms were comfortable and the soaps, shampoos and body oils are locally made. The hotel is a little hard to get too but that means no tour buses.
A very nice Hotel on the end in Ballycotton. The hotel is an older building, nicely furnished with a friendly team. The location is absolutly fabulous on the end of Irland... Dinner (in the Bar) and Breakfast have been superb. There is as well a Diningroom with a numerous amount of well sounding meals. The only things, which is a little petty, is, that the Spa is located in a nearby Hotel and the coast in front of the Terrasse of the Hotel is a rocky area. The beach is as well a little away.
The staff were great and very helpful! A great location for restaurants and pubs. The rooms we fine. We had a great view of the river, Peace Bridge and Harbour Square.
Best hotel during our round-trip through Ireland. Due to it's "hidden" location it is a wonderful place with no busses etc and great to relax with an amazing view on the sea. Staff was v friendly and food was great.

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes vier Sterne Hotel. Früh wurden wir durch den Staubsauger auf dem Flur geweckt.
Das wirklich schöne ist die Aussicht des Hotels.
One night stay before leaving Ireland but we were greeted by an amazing hotel with a fantastic view. Limited options for food at the hotel but great regardless. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Would love to stay here again.
10th July booked into Bay view Hotel. On arrival Fri 28th not expecting us. "Just a glitch".Booked twin beds. Offered double bed.Apology 1 out of ten. Then given accommodation in sister hotel. Accommodation as booked. Repeat apology very poor. This all added 50mins to our disappointment.
