"Room 23 was tiny and getting into the bathroom was awkward though a very low door. No shower only a bath with a hand held shower head. Single bed fine and just about ok for those if us who are 6’2 (a wall is a definite footboard). Bar shuts very early (before 10pm so no late night drink), friendly staff. Food can’t complain but not to rave over."

I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!). "Three ladies in a group room for 4. The service was good to start off with however we were booked into room 108, which had several splats and pool stains of blood on the walls and carpet. The double sofa bed had a soiled single duvet and no cover and everything was set up for two. We had to make up the spare bed. Under the bed is covered in dust. Needs a good clean! "Magnificent grounds, the approach on driving towards the Hall is stunning. It's a beautiful historic building with a very pleasant bar with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the grounds open until 10pm. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. "I booked to stay one night with a chance I might need a second night. Room was a separate wooden chalet. Door very difficult to open. Small bathroom with shower a bit difficult to access unless you have long legs. Mirror near toilet not easy to see. Glad I didn’t need to make up.
