Wonderful old timey style room. It was very nice and clean, however it did feel a bit out dated. The bed was stiff and sheets were scratchy. The shower took awhile to heat up, and the air was slow to cool. There was also a loud band playing outside until around 10-11pm. It's a wonderful property, but in desperate need of updates.

Ein sehr gutes Hotel mit tollem Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Frühstück mit sehr guter Auswahl. Zwei kleine negative Punkte 1. Schade dass es kein einziges Zimmer mit Balkon gibt. 2. Der Pool ist sehr sehr sehr kalt gewesen.

Pitiful western choice's for breakfast in the Pa Sak Coffee shop restaurant. Lazy room service, had to ask for teabags and to replenish the water. The bathroom appears to be upgraded as from the previous reviews which is a positive but the beds and pillows are very hard and uncomfortable. The Lieto restaurant and Pub is closed. The Chinese restaurant Gu-Cherng is excellent. The traditional thai restaurant Suan Rim Num is in an outdoor area which is nice at night. Another positive were the young man and woman who made great cocktails for us at the small cafe/bar in the Lobby area. All restaurants open at 5pm and we couldn't see any lunch availability. The reception staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Total waste of time asking them about anything, you may as well go and ask the Tuk Tuk drivers on the road because they are helpful.

Comfortable and good value for money
Great location for the station, and good value for money. Breakfast was good with a mix of western and Thai dishes and a egg/ omelette option. The pool and gym was fine for us and the front office staff very helpful.

A really nice hotel not far from the train station. I've been here for the 2nd time now and would book it again at any time. Another thing to mention would be that staff is super friendly. For that alone 5 stars

Catering mainly for Asian tourists as reflected in the buffet breakfast. Bathroom dated with a plastic shower screen on a shower in the bath tub,which took an age to drain,as did the sink. Staff generally not the friendliest although it was impossible to tell if they were smiling as they were all fully masked up a year after the rest of the world stopped wearing them

I was very pleased with our room and the free buffet breakfasts were sufficient, although not the best selection I've ever had. Our room wasn't the cleanest and the floor could have used a mopping now and again, but over-all it was large and comfortable and inviting, especially after spending the hot and humid days touring all the ancient temple ruins that Ayutthaya has to offer. I enjoyed the wonderful infinity pool located on the 5th floor, as it was cool and refreshing after our day-long temple ruin tours.

Run down, noisy, dirty hotel
Run down, noisy, dirty, room needs thorough deep clean, reception took no notice of room requests, which your would expect from a supposedly fourbstar hotel.

Overdue for a renovation
Krug Sri River Hotel is definitely showing its age, and is way overdue for a renovation. Rooms still have bathtubs instead of walk-in showers. Electric outlets are a rarity, so charging your devices is a hassle. Carpets in the hallways are old, wavy, and dirty. But one of the biggest nuisances is the fact that the elevator does not come down to the 1st floor in the evening. This is probably for security reasons, but a big inconvenience if you dine in the restaurant and have difficulties climbing stairs.

For a one night stay the hotel serves it purpose. It is a little out dated and need some attention, but the location, parking etc.. was excellent! The restaurant was a little on the upside, both price and food wise, so a lot of money but on the other hand also good food.

I have marked down on service... 1) Dining, only the Italian restaurant open (understandable and not a problem). Presented with and chose from the Italian menu. During the meal, it was noticeable that Thai customers were reading from a different menu. It transpires, three menus were available, Chinese food, Italian food and Thai food. The waiting staff decided that because I spoke English, I wanted the Italian menu. At no point were we informed of the options. 2) Despite the Hotel highlighting staff speak Thai and English, whenever I spoke (to the staff) they immediately looked at my wife (she is Thai) conversed with her and totally ignored me. 3) Checkout, I did it solo and was left standing (for what seemed an eternity) whilst the receptionist tried to contact somebody to check the room. Whilst waiting, a Thai person requested check out, they were spoken to and invited to take a seat whilst the waiting for the room to be checked. We have been married 14 years and I know the difficulty my Thai wife has had conversing in English. I struggle trying to learn conversational Thai - here's the thing, conversing is the way to improve spoken language skills, particularly with a native speaker. Please do not bother apologising, it will only make you feel better. I have no intention of darkening the doorways of this Hotel.
