The lady who checked me in was 10 times nicer and more professional than the last time I stayed there. The room was clean, the bed was comfy plenty of food and beverage close by. Nice long hot shower with excellent water pressure. A very pleasant day.

The staff at front desk was amazing and easy to check in but the room had dirty floors and the bed was hard pillows were uncomfortable and the towels were the size of hand towels

The room was clean. TV didn't work, somebody slapped on some paint in the rooms and badly at that, no coffee maker in the rooms. Very noisy -people grilling outside, drinking. I would have check-out early but I was in a time crunch. Way over priced for what you get. Plenty of places to eat with in walking distance if that's all you need.

Had great breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms are very clean all amenities are always in every room I've got there. Everytime time I come to Winder I stay here. They are always helpful with any need or accommodations or conflicts. I say this motel deserves a 10 star.

The staff is friendly and all amenities are in room . Fast food everywhere and convenient to walk to anything. They staff is friendly and happy always serving with a smile. They are always helpful and easily to accommodate and prompt to help with any issue. And clean I always stay here when j come to Winder

Not the place for a restful sleep

Worn out room. Stains in bathtub, only 3 bath towels, 2 hand towels (old and ratty), no washrags, hairdryer don’t work, rough sheets and horrible pillows. No lamps, lights by the bed. Have an overhead light with switch across the room. Not worth the amount they charged. Desk clerk checking in was very nice.

Rooms were subpar. Refrigerator did not work, no hair dryer in the room even though it was listed on the website. Holes in the curtain. Bed was comfy. Person working the front desk in the mornings was not very friendly. If you don’t mind the smell of pot coming from other rooms, it’s a great place to stay.

Stay away

The hotel was filthy in general. And the area of town was questionable at best. It looked alright at first while going through the scenic downtown, but that quickly went down hill. The furniture was extremely stained and failing apart. Several pieces were missing. There were wet towels in our room on the tub and the floor was soaked. it appeared as if someone had just taken a shower moments before we walked in. While I didn’t have high hopes booking so last minute the pictures didn’t look as bad as it was in real life. I didn’t think it would be bad enough where I wouldn’t be comfortable staying. I’ve never abandoned a booking in my life. But I didn’t feel safe staying.

The front staff was very friendly. Upon first glance the room seemed nice, but then I notice there was a large section of the ceiling in front of the door where the paint/plaster was peeling off. The toilet was also not attached to the floor and wobbled every time I sat down. The shower head did not spray out very far so I literally had to shower with my back up against the wall under the shower head. The bed was comfortable and seemed very clean.

Less Than Expected

I pulled into the parking lot after a long day and there were four police cruisers; not overly reassuring about the area! Check-in went fine; the woman was very apologetic about the police being there; some sort of domestic abuse. Room was about as basic as I have ever seen; floors were very dirty as evidenced by the soles of my feet. There was only one outlet in the room that I could find so I had to unplug the microwave to charge my phone. The free breakfast was a nice surprise, although it was very limited.

Pleasantly surprised. Nice stay. It’s a motel!!!!

We choose to stay at Jameson Inn Winder despite the horrible reviews. It is a motel so we weren’t expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised to find clean floors throughout the room instead of dirty carpets. The bedding was clean, the toilet flushed and the shower had pressure and hot water. The microwave and mini fridge worked great and were clean. Breakfast is only until 9am but had enough choices and a waffle maker. Staff were nice and helpful. The building is brightly illuminated all night for safety which comes through the side of the curtains making it hard to stay asleep as you assume it’s daytime already. Should’ve use a towel to cover the space. We would stay here again as it is budget friendly and close to Athens.
