"The room was clean and well equipped. The hotel is in an amazing location with a simple boat ride over to the island. This was super efficient and we were rarely left waiting for long. The hotel is quite dated in parts but you can sense its former grandeur. We enjoyed the little birding hut to look out at the river dwelling birds in the mornings. The grounds are well kept with beautiful gardens. Great breakfast buffet, even for vegans. The main panoramic restaurant was very disappointing with no vegan options readily available on the menu, but the chef rustled up a presto pasta which was nice. The lounge bar does a massive vegan wrap with incredible fries though so you won’t be disappointed with that after a day in Abu Simbel!
The in-house tour company, Nasco Tours, were super friendly and reliable. They sorted our trips to Abu Simbel and at very short notice to Philae Temple also. They also sorted our airport transfer for us as well - Doha was great, thank you!"
"Sat on the bank of the Nile this lovely little hotel was perfectly situated for easy access across the city. Staff couldn’t have been more polite or helpful and the taxis ordered for us were well-priced and considerate. Food was good, and alcoholic drinks plentiful. We had such a good few days here. Thank you!"
"Staff were pleasant and helpful but the cleanliness of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Something had been spilt on the floor in the hall and was there for the entire 2 days we were at the hotel. The pool chairs were dirty. Breakfast buffet was fine. The evening menu items were better than the evening buffet. The hotel location is close to the river cruises but it is not a nice area to walk. "
"This is by far the WORST Hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life! Location is scary, rooms we terrible and service was horrible! This hotel needs to be SHUT DOWN! "
