"We were so surprised to see all rooms are ON the waterfront! So many seabirds and cargo ships coming and going during the day..if you're a boat/water person, this is a GREAT place. Room had everything we needed. Would definitely come back."

"Everything about the Bowline with the exception of housecleaning was excellent. I was disappointed that the beds weren’t made and the floors were not vacuumed when housekeeping serviced the room. they did change the towels but that was it. Generally the room was clean when we arrived and maybe because we were just there for 2 nights they kept the cleaning lite. i’m ok with that if they had given us a heads up to set expectations. "

"This hotel is excellent for families and one of the only around with a suite large enough for all. Absolutely fabulous views of the bridge. Our teen boys LOVED the daily breakfast, and our 7 year old was constantly watching the birds on the shoreline and the ships going by. Small but clean and saltwater(!) pool. "Fun and funky spot in an excellent location. This is a quirky hotel, some rooms have shared bathrooms, etc., but we booked a studio apartment style room with a full bathroom and kitchenette. Kitchen not well stocked -be sure you understand the rules and expectations regarding cooking in the unit ahead of time. We borrowed kitchen tools and made it work, so we were able to cook a couple of breakfasts and have leisurely coffee in our room. Fantastic view, we were in room 501. The location is...

"No air conditioner and felt like a heat box"

"My husband and I love this hotel! From the first time we stayed here 4 years ago, it’s been an anniversary favorite! The breakfast is always fresh, they have beautiful amenities including fruit infused water, cookies, and a wonderful chowder every evening! Everyone we have come into contact with hélas been so kind and helpful! "

"Expedia assured there was parking within the compound but when I got there at 7:30 I had to leave my van loaded with valuable equipment in front of a restaurant and right on the sidewalk. I hauled the most. precious items into my room and was not broken into but felt misled. I did not sleep well worrying about the van, especially considering the large number of homeless camps nearby"

"Good value for the price. The large king suite had ample living room, bedroom and 1.5 baths. Carpets need replaced as are stained but everything else was neat. The main bathroom was really large. Great view of the bridge, river and marina. Quiet."
