Poor points: The room was pretty sparse and lacking any warmth or character as were the rest of the facilities. We didn’t try the Spa or Golf, so can’t comment on this. gym, sauna, hot tub type facilities (which I would be happy to pay for) are pretty standard in most ‘Spa’ hotels so I felt a bit cheated. "The room floors, the corridors and the overall property is in a really bad state. The photos on Expedia are completely misleading. We would not have booked had realistic photos of the property been used. I would not reccomend anyone staying at this hotel - especially families with children. "Mixed reviews overall, my room was generally pretty clean however, I found a hair in the bathroom that definitely wasn't mine as it was about 6 inches long onnthe tiles of the shower, the window didnt stay open without wedging something underneath it, decor was tired and the TV was no bigger than a PC monitor and looked lost on the wall and wasnt vaguely visible from the bed and everytime the fridge in the room clicked on and off it turned the TV off and on again (annoying to say the least). "We got moved room at midnight, and had to move all of our belongings because the power in our room wasn't working, which was an issue the desk knew about when they gave us the room. Then, when I attempted to get a refund on the room for the night, we were offered free breakfast, but the lady on the desk was desperate to haggle down the number of days we got it for. Just felt very cheap and really made us not enjoy the stay."

"The hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Despite being next to the A34 my room was quiet. The location was actually good and only a 5 minute walk via the service station car park to the bus stop at the park and ride. "
