The walk from Arnarstapi to Hellnar (or Hellnar to Arnarstapi) is a great short hike (~2.5km) right off the ring road on Snæfellsnes Peninsula. In Arnarstapi the trail is marked to the right off the main path past the stone monument and follows the cliffside. The return trip on the lava splattered trail exposes the mountains and the cliffs from all new angles.
