"We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. The location was perfect for a day trip to nearby Oban, which should not be missed, particularly for the seafood and Oban Distillery tour. Thank you Matthew for the opportunity to stay; we will long...

"Great place to stay if you are exploring Glencoe area. Incredibly kind hosts, great view, and perfect breakfast before heading out for the day. Would recommend this location as it’s close to Glencoe and another town 10minutes away that was awesome for dinner and shopping. We loved it here :)"

"The darling couple who own and run the B&B are extremely delightful. Our hostess started us off in the morning with a delightful breakfast, good cup of coffee and good advice or directions to our days activities. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves. The bonus was the view from the property was gorgeous."

"We stayed two nights while hiking in the area as a family of four. Everything worked out well. Rooms are a little dated but clean and had good toiletries available. We ate dinner in the restaurant and breakfast for both mornings. Staff were friendly and food was good."
"Stayed at apartment which was clean and with great views, great to have a washer and dryer combo, 5 minute walk to shopping and restaurants. Would stay again!"
"Family room was very clean. The bunk bed were a bit squeeky and not too confortable but for one or two nights, it's fine. Plenty of parking and very quiet. Beautiful view on Ben Nevis. For the price, it is worth it."
"Staff member at reception on arrival was super friendly and made some great recommendations of things to do during our stay. The room was a great size and clean.
We throughly enjoyed breakfast most morning. Food was hot and a good selection of hot items were available. There wasn't a great selection of Continental items available. But what was there was fresh and tasty."
"Lovely twin room, very clean and comfortable. The communal kitchen and lounge were well equipped and a great addition.
The staff were helpful and answered any questions I had.
We would stay here again if we visited in future."
"The hotel and architectural style were excellent. The staff was as helpful as they could be. I liked the size of the room and the amenities in the room.
I feel that saying there is parking onsite in the information on the website is misleading. There were only 6 parking spaces available to all the guests staying at the hotel and it is on a first come first served basis. Not cool. Just don't say you have parking for guests because you really don't.
Also the hours of the spa are not meant to accommodate guests only staying for 1 night. The spa closes soon after check-in time and does not open until check out time. So if you think you will be able to enjoy this amenity with only a 1 night stay you will be disappointed like I was."
