Motel 6 Closure Without Customer Notice

I can’t really give a review because when we showed up for our reservations at The Motel 6 1542 Whitehall Rd Annapolis, Maryland on Saturday March 3rd there was a sign across the drive that said WE ARE CLOSED. I realize now that the motel probably had no power due to the storm however it would have been nice to receive an e-mail informing us of that problem and that the motel had to close. But now instead of receiving an apology for our inconvenience of having no accommodations for the night and/or a discount/coupon for a future stay, I receive an e-mail asking “How was my stay?” Needless to say.... I won’t be booking a room at a Motel 6 anytime soon!

Allowed Early Check-In

The service was great! The front desk employee allowed us to check in early at a discounted rate. Basically, we drove all night and we paid half a day to check in at 6am. This allowed us to get a couple of hours of rest before having to work. The room was clean. The location was convenient and felt safe/secure. Pet friendly (we travel with our dogs, which is why we generally choose to stay at Motel 6). Most locations, as long as you report them at check in, there are no extra fees associated with dogs, as long as they are not left in the room alone. This was our first work trip to this area, but when we return, we will stay here again. It is conveniently located in between Washington D.C. and Baltimore; and it is convenient to the highway.

We wanted to stay overnight after the Navy game...

...and the staff were polite and helpful, for instance exchanging the one smoking room I inadvertently chose for non, and being very welcoming. We also felt safe and that the rooms were clean. The facility is utilitarian, and a bit/quite tired. It had the very basics. If that’s what you are looking for, it works.

Lumpy Mattress

The motel was clean. The bed mattress was not very comfortable, because we could feel the springs in the mattress.

No breakfast included

Card key didn't work I had to go back to get another one. They don't include breakfast, we had to drive 1 or miles to get something to eat. The room is visible old and rusty.

WORST HOTEL EVER!

the airconditioner was flooding the floor and we I asked to be moved it was a problem, I was given towels to soak the water up. I finally got so mad and they moved us. Then roaches were crawling all over the place and we had to put out bags outside in fear that the bugs would get in our clothes. We did not sleep due to this. I asked for my money back and the hotel refused to give me a refund.

QUIET PLACE TO REST AND RELAX.

I USED THIS HOTEL AS HOLDING PLACE WHILE WAITING FOR MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING. WAS QUIET PLACE TO SLEEP AND WHILE NOT THE RITZ CARLTON WAS A NICE REASONABLY PRICE HOLDING AREA FOR WEDDING PREPS. THE STAFF WAS PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. I SPENT 8 DAYS FOR MY PARTY OF THREE ADULTS. THEN HAD 4 DAYS FOR MY DAUGHTER THAT WAS GETTING MARRIED AND HER HUSBAND. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AS IT WAS WITHIN EASY COMMUTE/WALK TO THE WATER. HOWEVER, IT WAS ABOUT 15-20 MINUTE DRIVE TO OTHER THAN PIZZA/FAST FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS. ALL IN ALL WAS IDEAL FOR THE PURPOSE I NEEDED AND SPACIOUS ROOM FOR LUGGAGE AND OTHER ITEMS REQUIRED FOR EXTENDED STAY.

Great if visiting Downtown Annapolis on a budget!

Room and everything in it was cleaner than I expected after reading previous reviews. Staff were very polite... 15 minutes away from Downtown... Oh and the price was right! Would definitely stay again if needed.

It was just ok...almost

Unfortunately my stay was not so nice. The hallways had a stale cig. smoke smell. The walls were resently painted, but the smoke still lingered. The coffee was only available in the lobby. So you had to be dressed properly to go get a cup.And it was a weak flavored coffee at that. The room was clean enough.

Stay some place else

Super 6 continental breakfast, there was none. The ad said it had continental breakfast, it did not. Just coffee and juice in the morning. Room very small. People at the front desk were not helpfull at all. We paid for 3 nights, and after the first night we did not want to stay there any longer. Next to freeway. Asked if we could get a refund for the last day, front desk person said he would have to ask the owner and get back to us. (never happen) You are better off to pay a extra $ 20.00 or so dollars, and have a nicer place to stay. What ad said on the internet is not so.

Could have been better

The hotel could not find our reservation. Even upon showing the confirmation, still did not accept that I had one without making me call Hoteis.com. I waited over 20 minutes to check in because of this. The room we were in had cracks in the ceiling and wall, a patched ceiling and some roaches. The breakfast area didn't even have the juice machine working and there was rolled up carpet and an old air conditioner laying in it.

convenient spot for the tired driver

it was exactly what I expected for a room for less than $100. Convenient, clean, good for the night. if you're looking for a five-star hotel experience, you're not looking at Motel 6 . But if you're looking clean sheets, a place to park your car, and park your head for the night… Don't hesitate
