"The hotel is run down and in a run down neighborhood. Furnishings are old and shabby. My family of six had 2 rooms for one night …. $960 ! Simply unbelievable — I realize it’s Anchorage in early June and even a third rate hotel might get that rate… but paying that rate for this dump was painful !
NOTE: They say they have an airport shuttle. I called as soon as we got our bags and they said they’d be there In “10 minutes”. During the next 45 minutes I called twice again, and finally they told...

"Our first room the door wouldn’t latch, so they switched us to the second room and heater didn’t work , finally the third room was good , except no remote for the TV !"

"Honestly the room and hotel were fine...upgraded, attractive,great bed, convenient airport shuttle, nice staff etc. My big bone of contention was the ridiculous rate!!!...more then twice what I have paid at other martiotts. I booked it cause of the only hotel right next to the airport but I wont stay there again because of the price. Price gouging the tourists!"

"We enjoyed our stay here. The room was great for our family. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We liked the bar and restaurant as well as the breakfast. The blackout curtains and shades worked great- it was so nice to have a dark room in the summer in Alaska.
Only minor complaints: 1)the mattress on the sofa bed was poor quality- we couldn't sleep on it; 2) more GF option would be great (bread, buns, etc)."

"It is a nice hotel right by a lake where the biplanes take off. Fun to watch. If you need a dark room to sleep - this isn’t your hotel, unless you bring something for your eyes. The curtains let light in and this time of year it is light for a very long time!"
