Pension Homeland is a fabulous hotel with lots of local and artistic charm. There's so many cute details like the model ships on top of the elevator, the unique wall paintings, the animal display in the host stand, the twinkling lights on the building that look like the Eiffel Tower, and of course, the feline hostess Queen. I just really enjoyed the vibe of the place overall. I felt like I was on a summer euro trip in the 60's there.
The Restaurant was also really good. I would highly recommend getting breakfast there or even just a drink and a snack. They play great music and the servers are all really cool. I didn't get a chance to try the brewery but I did get to swim off the dock during the heat wave. Also a new experience for me! Btw, there wasn't AC in the building as with most of Europe so be weary of the hotter days as the rooms get very stuffy. I happen to go the week they were having temps over 30 degrees celsius.
Overall, I had a very nice week at Pension Homeland. I would gladly stay there again during a future trip to the city. Everyone was so nice and I really enjoyed all the locals. Good vibes all around.
