Steep steps to the second floor, and hair everywhere.
If they put you in room 12, run a mile. Right at the top of the building, at the top of some very steep stairs, and with a damp problem so bad it made a birthday card soggy within 48 hours.
They did move us to room 4 after I asked to be moved but no apology was given, and they had tried to suggest we were at fault, and basically made us pack up immediately so they could move us into another room. When doing this I discovered a slipper under the bed that didn't belong to us. I left it where I found it, but it was moved with our belongings... Room 4 looks out onto the street, where works began on the tram lines at 7:30am. We were also awoken by late check-ins (our room was above reception) and the fan of another room I think, as well as hearing a child running overhead while we were trying to sleep. The pillows were appalling and we've both got bad necks as a result. The bedding in room 4 was holey.
I would 100% avoid this place, as it not only ruined my partner's birthday but our first holiday in 3 years, as I've had to spend a lot of time dealing with this through hotels.com as well as at the hotel. Currently waiting on a resolution, but there is never a manager available to talk with hotels.com.
