A lovely place of relaxation and beautiful views of the valley and beyond. While more expensive, I highly suggest getting the top option which has two balconies and access to the art/wine cellar. Be sure to bring drinks to watch the sun set into the hills across the Jordan valley. While beautiful year round, I found it particularly amazing when the ground is green. The birds sing loudly and the sheep eat their way by the house on their daily walk.
The property is managed by Baraka Destinations and more locally by a lovely woman (Um Ammar) who cooks breakfast each morning. While you can cook for yourself there, Um Ammar is also available to cook a wonderful dinner (recommended). Baraka Destinations also has a list of experiences that can be done while in Um Qais or in Pella, including a guided historical tour of the archeological site by two women from the area who had to overcome several obstacles in order to get permission to do so due to cultural constraints.
