"La Maison Rabelais is in the heart of Amboise – well-located and nearly everything is an easy 5-10 minute walk, though the train station is on the other side of the river by 1.5 mi, necessitating a ride. Very nice breakfast – hearty and copious. While the property does NOT have A/C, the room (big and spacious) stayed cool however the ventilation system was configured. It was a little warm at night but not uncomfortable, especially considering afternoons were near 100 F/38 C. Definitely a nice...

"We stayed here for 2 nights during the June heat wave. The property was interesting, in that it is a bunch of “cottages” that are connected like triplex. There is a pool and laundry facilities on site. Our cottage was clean, and efficient. The only drawback was no air conditioning. With the bedroom upstairs, it was unbearable. We ended up bringing the mattresses downstairs to sleep. Having the pool was fantastic. The location was handy for exploring the beautiful area."

"We had a wonderful stay at Le Clos du Chateau. Our room was clean with good A/C considering we were there during an intense heatwave. Caroline prepared a beautiful breakfast every morning with fresh breads and homemade jams and spreads. She was also very helpful in advising us where to visit and we were never disappointed with her suggestion. If you’re visiting Amboise, which is truly beautiful, we advise staying at Le Clos du Chateau which is perfectly located to enjoy this adorable old town,"

"Everything was top notch; and Angel was amazing to deal with. They offered an excellent breakfast; and were top notch in accommodating and attending to all our needs. The rooms were delightful; and the stay was awesome! Would love to stay again next time. Plenty of restaurants and shopping near by. Fantastic!"

"The owners, Gaelle and Bruno, are grand hosts and are charming. This visit was our second, and if we return to Amboise, we will stay there again. The rooms in the manor house are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast is a must. Our hosts provided recommendations for dinner that were not tourist oriented, and helped us schedule a taxi to the railway station."

"Hôtel très propre petit déjeuner bon mais cher!! Point très négatif pas de snack ou bouteille d’eau rien si on a faim si on arrive tard, même pas une pomme ou banane pour les enfants! Il devrais avoir un coin supérette ou un distributeur!!! Pas assez de serviette pas de patin ou baignoire!"
