"Lesley and stephen were great hosts , bed was so comfy , linen so fresh . Internet access was simple . Was able to park round the back . Breakfast was excellent. Great choice , definitely recommend this beautiful B&B to anyone . "
"The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late.
The toilet area is really tiny, but the rooms are lovely."
"Had a fantastic stay! Mark was super helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t be closer to the local restaurants, bars and of course the castle. Everything was spot on. Also the breakfast was tailored to how you want it and was delightful. Would definitely stay again and recommend anyone else to stay here."

"Surprisingly quiet despite being off the A1 the front of the property is a corridor to the rooms which offers sound protection from the A1 .
The rooms overlooked a nice field with a view of the sea.

"We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. Our room was lovely and very clean. The breakfast menu is varied plentiful and very good. Gillian and Karen are very friendly and helpful. Have to mention the desserts which we had one evening which were delicious.
