Mooi hotel op een super locatie, met heel veel potentie. Maar de ervaring vonden we niet goed. Vanaf half 7 hebben de kerkklokken tot 7 uur bijna non-stop geklonken. Was ons niet verteld dat dit ging gebeuren, en biedt op z’n minst oordoppen aan in de kamer. En als je denkt: als je in een klooster verblijft, kun je dat verwachten.. ja, we hadden verwacht dat de kerkklok de tijd zou aangeven, maar niet een half uur lang zou luiden (om half 7 ‘s ochtends). Ontbijt ook niet zo best, broodjes droog en de croissantjes mag je geen croissantjes noemen (deeghompjes noemden wij ze voor de grap). Theekannetjes waren wel leuk! Naastgelegen restaurant was wel erg goed.

Romantisches Hotel mit schönem Gastgarten

Sehr gutes Frühstück. Zimmer sehr ruhig, gutes und bequemes Bett. Leider derzeit vilee Mücken aufgrund der kürzlichen Überschwemmungen. Zimmer haben Mückengitter, so dass man bei offenem Fenster ruhig schlafen kann.

Unieke locatie op een mooie afgelegen plek, voor een prima verblijf. Goede en ruime kamers. Geen modern sanitair, maar functioneert en is schoon. Je kunt prima eten op locatie voor het diner. Inbegrepen ontbijt is uitstekend. Gekozen vanwege de mooie locatie, en niet al te ver van het treinstation, voor verbinding met Augsburg en München.

Zeer mooi gerenoveerd klooster. De kamers zijn zeer netjes en compact. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en het ontbijt echt uitgebreid. Wel met een specifieke focus op zakelijk verblijf. Maar wij op doorreis hebben het er ook als erg goed ervaren.

Genussvoll übernachten und speisen im Kloster

Schon seit meiner Kindheit war ich fasziniert von den beiden Kirchtürmen hoch über der Ebene, wenn ich mit Bahn oder Auto von Augsburg nach Donauwörth unterwegs war. Jetzt bot sich die Gelegenheit näher- und einzutreten. Ein tolles Haus, sehr gut restauriert, mit langen Gängen, mit einem sehr schönen Innenhof, einer mit einzelnen kleinen Kunstwerken überbordenden Barockkirche, mit einem Kräutergarten - so, wie man sich eben ein Kloster vorstellt. Das ist Kloster Holzen. Die Mönchszellen von einst gibt es nicht mehr. Es sind angenehme Zimmer, nicht riesig groß, aber ausreichend. Der Klostergasthof bietet eine sehr gute Küche, spezielle Wünsche werden freundlich entgegengenommen und erfüllt. Ein besonderes Erlebnis war das Osterfrühstück: Vielfältig, Produkte und Angebote von hoher Qualität; und was besonders gefällt - mit regionalem Bezug. Erstklassig! Es gibt nur einen Nachteil: Es ist 500 km von zu Hause entfernt.

Nice and clean place. Rather cosy, an old "Kloster" which has been very nicely refurbished. A bit low internet strength in the dining hall (the walls are thick)...and to call I had to walk out

Located in a former Monastery , it is in a very peaceful setting. We only stayed one night. It would be a place to just relax. Plenty of trails to walk on.

This was is a large cloister, to a large degree converted to a hotel and conference centre, while maintaining some space and certainly the aura of its original purpose. There are still a few nuns resident in a private section of the property, and we had the opportunity to chat with one of them to learn much about the history of the place. The hotel conversion was very well done, without destroying the historical significance of the property. The rooms were comfortable, but not very spacious. There are large grounds for walks, and even a charming little animal farm that kids would enjoy. The onsite chapel is well worth a visit. The onsite restaurant is a bit formal in its presentation, but nonetheless friendly and welcoming. It's menu focuses on local produce and cuisine.

This is a lovely hotel with old world charm. The church, which is integrated into the old building, is one of the most beautiful I have seen on the inside. The breakfast area is delightful and the quality of food outstanding - fresh made bread, wonderful meats and cheeses and fresh coffee and tea.

Excelente, cómodo y bonito hotel.

Hotel ubicado en un monasterio. Limpio, agradable y con una arquitectura excelente. Las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas para trabajar. El entorno está muy bien, y permite dar paseos por zonas de bosques y ríos. Tiene un restaurante muy bonito. El desayuno es variado y abundante. El wifi funcionaba bien. Recomendable para alojarse cerca de Donauwörth si tienes coche.

Landschaftlich schön gelegenes Hotel

Außergewöhnliches Hotel in sehr schöner Lage . Zimmer modern eingerichtet, aber Einzelzimmer mit 1 m Betten verbreiten halt leider den Charme einer Jugendherberge. Ein entsprechendes französisches Bett wäre wünschenswert auch als Einzelzimmer.

Alles Top, bis auf den Zimmerpreis.

Sehr schöne, beeindruckende Anlage in Top-Zustand geschmackvoll & modern eingerichtet, viele Parkplätze, freundliches Team, gutes Frühstück. Wenn nicht das nur kleine Zimmer im einfachen IKEA-Stil gewesen wäre. Da stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis leider nicht. 10-15% weniger und ich hätte alles mit :-)) gewertet.
