"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them.
On the hole, everything else was excellent.
There was no recycling facilities, which was quite a surprise, and also a slight disappointment. Everything else was above...

"On entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really can’t fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. We had the family room as it was the last one left for us to book & was a great size room. 10/10 "

Check in was little slow,1st lady said room wasn't ready,as sge said didnt realise i wanted sofa bed made up.She said would sort it,then seemed to go off shift.So had coffee and after about 40 minutes later i went back up to see if ready,an young lad said so sorry i didnt realise you had been waiting so previous lady obviously hadnt told him .He was great though got us checked in right away.So think previos lady could've done more to make the other staff aware.Apart from that hotel...
"We had a lovely spacious room which included a small sofa, so it was comfortable to return to in the evening and watch tv. The downside was the room was at the top of the building up two flights of stairs, so not good for people with limited mobility or heavy bags. The ensuite was very small but the shower was powerful and the towels of good quality. Just a 10 minute walk to centre of Harrogate and restaurants."
"From arrival we were really impressed with this place.
The lady greeting us and showing us to our room, was lovely and made us feel welcome from the outset.
I’m not sure if this lady is the owner, but she was always busy and appeared to show genuine concern that guests needs were being taken care of.
Room was large and comfortable, with all amenities required.
Attached bar/ restaurant was comfortable and served a range of well priced meals and drinks.
We didn’t use it, but the outside dining...
"We had a brilliant stay at the Hygge, it is tucked in the corner surrounded by open countryside, just beautiful. The quietness was appreciated and lovely.
The Hygge itself was spot on, well maintained and very clean. We found it to be a very comfortable and practical place to stay. We could have easily spent longer there and look forward to returning "
