"Great stay"

"About 10 minutes walk from main train station. Friendly helpful staff. Swimming pool and gym area in basement. Convenient with walking distance to many restaurants and interesting locations. Spacious room. Bed okay, hot water pressure okay. Toilet door not lockable in room. Big desk, perfect for work with laptop. Slow elevator. A bit Pricey as many other hotels in Amsterdam. I guess you pay for the location. "

"We were a group of 9 staying to do the marathon and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. The whole staff team were exceptional, from Britt, Senne and Putri in reservations and reception through to the team in the restaurant especially Fajar who remembered me wanting soya cappuccinos each morning. Super friendly and helpfu one and all. The restaurant food was great such that we ate there a lot more than we'd originally planned and they catered brilliantly for coeliac vegetarians like me. "Definitely a nice place to stay. They are not big on checking in early. I visited in mid-July. Even when I returned to check in after, I had to wait and was given a room next to the elevator which is not ideal since it gets loud. Room was very clean and comfortable with black out curtains. No view. Same for my friend who stayed on a different floor - same room, different side, no view but nice room. Staff were on and off. Some friendly, some awkward. I really liked the location. "Great place to stay. Walk to a local bar for a drink and dinner. A local bakery with great bread, pastries and coffee if you don't fancy the heavier breakfast of the hotel. Several restaurants and bars all in walking distance but far enough away to not be a noise concern. Hotel food was great. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa were all fabulous. Staff are very helpful and friendly. You can walk to the rest of the city from here, or you could take a tram or hire a bike. "

"Location is great. Rooms are worn-out, dark and very dusty. However, the bathroom is spacious and clean. Service at breakfast is not professional. They were lots of customers during our stay each morning and the staffs at Bridges restaurant told us that they couldn't handle with the large number of people since there wasn't enough of them. Service was very slow and unorganised. Overall, I think the hotel services and standard doesn't match with the price tag."
