"Continues to be my chosen place to stay in Halifax. Grand old hotel with a lot of character. Great location for shops, restaurants and walking. I’ve stayed in both the smallest and largest of rooms in the hotel, and although there are parts of the hotel that could use some fresh paint and tlc, I appreciate that the little things are always high quality: big towels, great toiletries, Nespresso machines in all the rooms, and top notch staff. "Nice pool, amazing suites very spacious "

"Lounge chair under cushion was full of chip crumbs, shower/tub did not drain (good foot bath while showering), “toilet paper” was so thin, when I used it to blow my nose, I blew THROUGH the tissue - had to use MANY MANY layers to wipe. Actually asked concierge at Marriott (waterfront) for a roll of REAL toilet paper. Not bad for 250$/night "

"We stayed at this property ahead of moving our son into his university dorm. It was a perfect location, easy to get everywhere and a grocery store only a 5 minute walk. There was plenty of room to store our things and we really appreciated the covered car port. The house was very clean and the owners responsive. We would not hesitate to stay here again. My only suggestion to future guests would be to bring some sugar packets if you like it in your coffee :)"
