The property and the facilities were great, location to the beach was good whether you walked or got the train. What was not good at all, EXPEDIA, was paying for a weeks accommodation and then getting hit with a bill when we come to check out because the rate per night changes. That is unacceptable but we had to pay it and the tourist tax 😡

Amazing place…. Especially great for honeymooners… as it’s quiet, lush, and the beach is amazing. They have a massage area on the beach… absolutely amazing! Great value for money. ALbufeira has some bars/clubs… did not visit them though .

Had a lovely time here, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely however not much of a queuing system so a lot of people was pushing in front and going where ever they pleased which was unpleasant. Our rooms was spacious and clean, however outside in the hallway was not nice or kept clean, bird poo was outside and wasn't cleaned at at all not a nice sight when walking to our room. The lift was also grimey, I think they need a good clean. Shuttle to the beach wss excellent, kids loved it. Overall stay was good, shame there isnt much around outside but if you're happy to stay in the pool and chill out this is the place for you

Everything was excellent apart from the check in at the hotel we waited half an hour to check in. They need more reception desks and staff to help their visitors, reception area is not big enough for the size of the hotel. Breakfast was ample but got a bit boring after a few days, not much fresh fruit.

Family of 5 can’t fault anything from start to finish Welcome by front of staff lovely, rooms lovely, facilities lovely, food was excellent Great location peaceful and only a short walk (10/15mins) to loads of places to eat supermarkets etc, gale beach is a must visit, more sheltered in the cove than salgados (small train hotel run a life saver for tired legs) Will 100 percent be back and recommend

Another wonderful stay here at the Marriott Residences. A few small issues like our rooms were not cleaned until very late in the afternoon for some reason, and we had to keep asking for water and face cloths as these items were not replenished each day. We also had a small issue with the power cutting out whilst using the oven in the apartment, we had to wait over an hour before someone came to check for us, by that time we had managed to locate the fuse box and sort ourselves. We were also advised at checking that we could use the facilities at the neighbouring Westin resort. However upon arriving at their reception, we were told this was not the case and that they could not allow it. This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back, it is like a home from home for the family and we feel comfortable here. The staff are great overall.

It’s a nice spacious property especially if you book residence with many pools and restaurants. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Only few things that we found can make stay even better but not something that will be deal breaker. If you like late night snacks or room services there are no facility after 10:30 at the hotel premises but you can order food from Uber eats. As it’s a big place it can do with having a grocery store or convenience store on premises. Secondly no private beach, there is a buggy to beach but no beach loungers are provided by the hotel, so if you use the ones at the beach, you have to pay for them (which we only found out once we got there). It would have been nice to know before hand. Overall we had nice stay. Thank you team

We absolutely loved Marriott residences in Salgados. The rooms, the hotel grounds, the restaurants and the amenities were all outstanding. We stayed with our 3 year old and 6 year old who is autistic. The hotel staff were very helpful in answering all our questions before we even arrived, and they were helpful and supportive throughout our stay. The restaurant staff Dmytro and Inès were always ready to give us a hand when we struggled with the kids. Thank you to Jessica for a smooth check in. The shuttle to the beach is fantastic. The hotel is well placed and we used it as a base to visit Faro and Albufeira old town. We can't wait to go back. Thank you everyone!

I read through the reviews and was honestly quite scared of the metal door hook breaking in method but during my stay I had no such issue. The apartment self catering was beautiful, it had all the pots, pans and cutlery needed to cook. There was a washing machine and a microwave included. In the cupboard there was ironing equipment.Safe was included in the closet. Also very nice citrus shampoo, conditioner and soap. The housekeeping was very helpful and nice, glass water bottles was replaced everyday by the cleaner so you didn’t have to worry about buying water. Every room had its own electronic air con easy to tap and operate. I would recommend choosing the self catering option as the food options weren’t great. However there aren’t any shops in the hotel and the nearest grocery store was 20 minute walk. In the restaurant there was a buffet but it costed €35 pp. On the pool tables there was a QR code where you could order food or drinks to ur table which was really cool, however the fries portion was very small but it was €5. There were also ice cream served near the pool which included many flavours (I went for tiramisu and cookies & cream) 2 scoops costed €3. The hotel has a beach shuttle which was a friendly old style cho cho train ride which came every 30 minutes there and back. Also the bathroom has a wooden door but no locks. The balcony was big and probably my favourite thing in the room. The elevators seem quite old compared to the hotel itself.
