We enjoyed our stay. Hot tubs were dirty, we would not use them. It is a cute concept, tiny homes, it is a shame that the grounds of the entire area wasnt kept up. The enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant.

We had a nice time at Camptel. Our trailer was super cute and clean. Our kids loved their loft bed area. Overall the accommodations were great and we liked the amenities including the hot tub and bouncy slide. We were, however, disappointed that the restaurant was not open and we weren’t warned that it wouldn’t be open because we didn’t bring any food with us and had to leave to go to the Dollar General to get some basics. We also thought the price was high considering it wasn’t a busy weekend. I’d recommend this to people who will be nearby and won’t mind that there is no swimming/body of water on the property.

The container house was clean, comfortable, and really super cool. My friend and I stayed in the unit named Happy. We absolutely loved it. We used this as our home base to visit Jim Thorpe and surrounding areas. When we had a question the property reps responded promptly. We had difficulty lighting the fire pit as we didn't know how to do it. They sent a guy over to help us. I tried to start my car one morning and found the battery was dead. One of the workers helped us out with a jump start. It is great when service is responsive and timely. Last but not least, should you wonder, we bought our food in Leighton using grocery stores and a food truck selling Barbeque - yum!

Best Vaca Ever

My boyfriend and I just got home from a fantastic weekend getaway in Jim Thorpe/Poconos. We stayed at what I would consider the greatest campground I've ever been to, honestly better then any place I've stayed at. Camptel Poconos Glamping Resort and the managers are the freaking best. The camp ground itself are storage containers turned into cabins set up on your lot with covered seating, grill, propane fire pit. Our cabin, Thor, had a porch and balcony off the back, inside was a living room with a pullout sofa, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, and a queen size bed in its bedroom. Everything was just the right size for the two of us and never in each other's way. It was nothing less of perfection. In the common areas of the campsite is a huge fire pit surrounded by chairs, a few games, gym, and hot tubs. Even with all the rain we were able to roast a couple marshmallows 😋 and enjoy everyone's company. We lost power the first night and the managers came around to check on us, offering anything we would need to be comfortable during the outage. Also, which was beyond expected, came and picked us up from the concert venue when we couldn't find an uber or lyft!!! There is no doubt in my mind we will be back!!!! Thank you Camptel for such an amazing weekend 💕

Great stay at Camptel Poconos! We had a wonderful stay at Camptel Poconos! The property strikes a perfect balance between community and privacy — plenty of shared spaces to meet other guests, but also quiet areas to unwind. Our site had a convenient propane fire pit, which we loved using in the evenings. One night we met another couple making s’mores over a wood fire in the community area — such a fun, friendly atmosphere. As we walked the grounds after dark, we appreciated how nicely the property was lit and even stumbled upon a jumbo outdoor checkerboard, which was a great surprise! We also noticed three hot tubs on-site — we didn’t pack for that, but it’s a great amenity to have. The owner/manager who handled our check-in by text was extremely nice and responsive, which made everything easy. The only disappointment was that the on-site bar and restaurant were closed during our stay. I was told they’re planning to reopen later this winter and are trying to get the listing updated. If that’s something important to you, I’d recommend calling ahead to confirm before booking. Our only minor issue was with the heat in our specific unit — the thermostat was located in the loft, so the downstairs stayed pretty chilly. It wasn’t a big deal for us since we mainly used the loft (which stayed nice and warm), so we didn’t bother reporting it. Overall, Camptel Poconos is a really unique and enjoyable place to stay — peaceful, well-designed, and full of thoughtful touches.

We had a great visit here. Marianne (our host) was awesome and upgraded our cabin when our reserved cabin wasn’t ready. She explained everything and made sure our visit was perfect. The cabin was clean, modern and had some really nice amenities. It’s the perfect place if you want the comfort of a hotel but want some time with nature.
