Love this place…from the moment we were picked up at the airport everyone was friendly and worked hard to ensure are time at Tava’e was perfect…I wish I could bottle up the smell of the flower lei they give you at arrival as they are lovely smelling …we rented scooters from the front desk for two of are three days…super fun way to get around…Do not miss Kia Orana tour for the lagoon tour it is a must!!!!! Lovely family ran business..You visit many places and have lunch on their family island… Over all our visit to Tava’e and the island was the highlight of our time in the Cook Islands

We absolutely loved our stay here. Nothing beats enjoying a glass of wine or breakfast with stunning views of the lagoon. Having complimentary swimming gear right on the beach was such a bonus, and with access to not just one but two pools, it made our time even better. The room was spotless, tidy, and very comfortable with both air conditioning and fans. Even the reception staff went above and beyond, arranging a vehicle for us—such awesome service that really exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

Nearly new, modern resort. Beachfront room was perfect as was the beach. Snorkelling off the beach was good too. Biggest gripe was the continental breakfast. Not much for $900 per night. Nice extra was being able to rent a scooter for the day for $30. Would return for sure.

The accommodation was clean and well presented, the meals we had there were tasty and good value. Disappointment was finding out when we arrived that both pools were unusable (Lime Green - no chemicals). It would be easy to notify the guests pre arrival or at arrival and perhaps offer a complimentary cocktail or similar.

Gorgeous property and room! The views are incredible and the newly updated room was perfect. The sunsets here are stunning! The staff was all very accommodating. My main complaint is that the room was advertised to fit 5 people but only had beds for 4 so beware of additional fee if you want a rollaway bed for 5th person.

Absolutely loved our stay!

Almost new (opened in 2023) oceanfront accommodation. Everything looks brand spanking new including the shuttle van. True Polynesian hospitality. We felt like family more than just guests. From the airport greeting and pickup until the airport drop off and farewell, the staff were the friendliest employees ever. The front desk, the housekeeping staff, the pool cleaners, the grounds maintenance, and whoever else we met were all the best. We are looking forward to a return trip in two years with our four adult children and their families. The location on the beach was incredible. The kayaking was fun and the snorkeling was top notch. Because of the barrier reef, it’s also a great place for small children to swim.

My first time in Aitutaki and I booked 3 nights at Resort Tava'e. I loved this resort. Staff were excellent! They organised pick up and drop off to the airport which was free. The two rooms were placed next to each other which was perfect for us. The set up of the room was relaxing, with a small couch in front of the bed, a massive TV infront of the couch, a little kitchen with microwave, hot plate with frying pan, a pot, toaster, jug, and a good size fridge. The bathroom is massive, I loved the double shower. The room has air con split system with a fan above the bed/couch. Our rooms were 14 & 15 so our view was of the double pools and if you were lucky you could see a little of the ocean. They have an ice machine near reception and their water is drinkable from the tap. Biggest highlight for my daughter was unlimited wifi which was perfect for downtime at night. They do have a restaurant with great food and a beautiful view of the water. I look forward to going back to Aitutaki and staying at Resort Tava'e.

The rooms are soundproofed and in 6 nights I never heard my neighbors. The units are only about 2 years old so everything is in good shape. I did a lot of food prep rather than eat in the restaurant. The kitchen is well set up. There are stores down the road. The beach is lovely and had various lounges, tables with umbrellas and beach towels are supplied. Each unit has its own drying rack so you can get things dried pretty quickly. Laundry service is available. A/C was good although I mainly used the fan. I'm from a hot climate so the temperature was fine. My only complaint was some really noisy people with the poorly brought up children who were oblivious of others. My room was poolside and I enjoy seeing kids and families having fun. Most parents hush their kids if they're getting out of hand. This family didn't do that. It was culturally normal for them to be loud. I did go out and put an end to the three sons chasing a mother hen and her chicks. Resort Tava'e might consider an adults only area.

A great location at Aitutake !!! They looked after us well and there were a number of alternate eating opportunities nearby. Check-out was easy and we were able to use the pool / facilities until it was time to take the hotel courtesy van to the airport. We loved our stay. Thank you !

Nice resort

They didn’t notify guests of Tsunami. I assumed it wasn’t going to affect the Cook Islands. Later read there were warnings. Also a bit lax on identifying people’s luggage. Fortunately people are honest.
