"Lovely location and you can walk straight onto the beach where you can spot giant turtles swimming. Room was spacious with ocean front balcony, bathroom clean but tired. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of options. Great base for visiting Galle as well. Plenty of shops and restaurants outside. Friendly and helpful staff."

Service in general was very spot on especially Chaminda, who took really good care of us. "Pros: Great location with an amazing beachfront experience, a pretty good breakfast, and the staff let us hang out in the hotel area a few hours before our check-in. Cons: A bit old rooms, very cold inside with no possibility of making it warmer. We are from Ukraine, and the staff was trying to talk in Russian to us, literally the whole stay. We repeated several times that we don't speak Russian and we don't understand them, but they didn't care. "

"The bedsheets and mattress were wet and some moist smell was coming. One half of the bathroom sliding door was broken. The beds are very small for twin beds’ size. There was no proper process/queue for check-in. It was not managed properly and anyone was coming in between and was checking in. The hotel seems to be overcrowded. The beach was not accessible. There were stones and fisherman boats were there which made the water smell oily and bad. The only good thing in hotel was swimming pool and food. I tried calling reception to get my room upgraded or changed but the number call was transferred and disconnected eventually. Not sure how it is rated as 5 star. Overall we had a really bad experience, not at all worth the money we spent. "
