"I had a good stay at Porto Castello Hotel in Santorini and would recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly place in a convenient location. The room was clean, although it looked a bit dated. There was also a strong fresh paint smell that was a little overpowering during our stay. One suggestion I have is for the hotel to use fitted sheets. While the mattress itself was clean, it only had a flat sheet over it, which kept sliding off throughout the night. We constantly had to pull it back into place so we wouldn’t end up sleeping on the bare mattress. The room included a mini fridge and a small private patio with chairs, which was a nice spot to relax and enjoy lunch or dinner. The pool was excellent and very clean during summer but it’s quite deep, so families with young children who can’t swim should keep that in mind. The highlight of our stay was the older gentleman at the reception. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He helped us order food around 10:00 p.m. when most places were closing, and he also arranged a private island tour with transportation for just €50, which was much cheaper than the prices we found online. The location is convenient, about 10 minutes from the airport, and the hotel offers airport transfers for €25, making arrival and departure very easy. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we enjoyed our stay. The helpful staff, clean rooms, nice pool, and good value make Porto Castello Hotel a place I would recommend."

"From the welcome to leaving the Perla Nera did not disappoint. Irine and her staff were very friendly. Sunita was a pleasure to talk to and helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean. The only thing missing for me was a small microwave to reheat the lovely leftovers. From the restaurants."

"It is a perfect place to be in Santorini. Less than 10mins car ride from the airport, very peaceful, quiet, and safe. Staff are very accomodating, polite, and respectful. I gave them my laundry and they even folded each piece of my clothes. This is the best hotel i had ever been. You also have a bottle of wine in your room, free of charge. So perfect!"

"I stayed 3 nights in a triple room in a newly renovated part of the hotel. Clean sheets, blankets and towels - new bathroom, huge terrace, good A/C. For the amazing price without breakfast I can’t complain. The pool was immaculate - no one uses it but a lovely large cool pool with a jacuzzi and nice sunbeds with umbrellas. Reception area lovely. Staff - Ton Ton, Kirsty and the other blonde receptionist delightful! Things to consider: beds were very hard in my room- thin doors in this new area with difficult locks - I mentioned a couple of things to the manager and he was keen to hear and improve! I asked for a blanket for under the sheet as mattress topper and I slept fine! The hotel is just outside the centre of Fira, not much in the way of reliable public transport so if you don’t mind a 20min walk into town with an amazing bakery on the way… Really recommend getting a car (from the port or airport) in Santorini - best way to see the island - buses are a bit dismal - Enjoy!"

"The accommodation for us as family is good it caters our needs. The room is huge andhas enough sleeping spaces. Staff were so considerate and understanding. They made us stay until 5 pm with no charge as our flight is at 2330"
