"Very disappointed in this ‘iconic’ hotel. The staff offered nothing. They gave the key and that’s it. The room was a major disappointment. It was a white washed room with barren walls and scant furniture. No charm at all. The noise level was atrocious! Absolutely not worth the money."

"We would like to thank Shawnte Isaac, General Manager for her accomodating us after we had made our reservations for the wrong date. We had driven from Long Island to New Palz to move our grandson home from college. We are elderly and had flown from Ca. to Long Island to visit our son and bring our grandson back from college. After working all day packing our cars we were extremely tired and to find out we did not have a room was horrifying . Shawnte was kind enough to work with us. Thank you, thank you thank you. "$10/day parking is ridiculous in Poughkeepsie. Coffee maker in the room had coffee pod left in from previous guest. Conditioner in shower empty or pump didn't work. Part of bed backboard disconnected from main part. Balcony filthy with cobwebs dead leaves and bugs, probably not cleaned in months. I wouldn't have minded if this waa $100/night but a Wednesday and Thursday was $650 because of Marist graduation. If youre going to charge top dollar rooms should reflect that."
