Felt very secure, gated property, security check on entry. Staff gracious and helpful. Good variety of dining options, both local and continental cuisine. Spacious rooms. Nice pool. Would definitely stay again. My only wish is that it was closer to the airport.

Room was clean. Hotel location is convenient. The dining area was clean, the food was pricey. They were courteous enough to allow us to use the microwave in the dining area so we bought food outside. The epic experience was at the spa. The best spa treatment I ever had in my entire trip around the world. It is affordable, relaxing and very professional. We did the couples massage, manicure/ pedicure, facial and that was enough, we did not need the sauna or hot tub after that. It was so relaxing. The spa staff was excellent. Words cannot even express how much gratitude I have for them. I was tired and needed the massage greatly. Totally different level massage.

I really enjoyed my three nights here. Breakfast could be better, but I’m not a breakfast person so I will let it slide. Overall the hotel was pretty excellent and the staff were brilliant, helpful and cordial. One big negative was that the hot tub advertised on Expedia as part of the hotel facility is actually not free to use. It costs a whooping N400k to use for 2 hours. This has to be stated clearly on the hotel website.

John Wood hotel

1 - The pool was not open, however the site dod not confirm that. The reason i booked the hotel was because of the pool. 2 - The bed sheets were smelly with marks/stains. I requested several times for clean sheets, but every night i returned from work, nothing was changed. 3 - the shower was flooding - i had to stop the water and wait until it went down. It felt really disgusting stamding in the shwower with my feet fully in the water. 4 - the fridge didnt work. 5 - the remote for the air-conditioner was broken and wrappped with disgusting tape. 6 - the food at the restaurant was absolutely disgusting and overpriced.
