"Received a warm welcome when we arrived and were directed to our room. We stayed in one of the Suites which are in a separate building from the pub, with outside steps leading down to the pub. The car can be taken up a steep slope where there is dedicated parking for each Suite room. We enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast each morning, which was consistently delicious for the 3 days of our stay. Pre-booking is advisable for evening meals, and these were always lovely. "Everything perfect, only thing for me on the day would be a slightly earlier breakfast, maybe 7.30 to get up the mountain earlier but that’s personal preference. Thank you for keeping my sandwiches fresh in the fridge."

"From arriving to departure the owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We went B&B, plus evening meal, which was well worth it. Big mention to three of the staff Will, Osian “Fish” and Willow who really went out of their way to make sure our 3 night stay was very memorable. Will definitely be trying the sister hotel in Dolgellau in the near future."

"Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. "Great location in Barmouth and useful to have a free car park within easy walking distance. Our room appeared to be recently decorated to a high standard with some nice touches like good quality coffee and water supplied. Just to beware that our room was on the top floor and required us to walk up a few flights of stairs although we were offered help with luggage. The main negative for us was the breakfast. Although beautifully served, the quality of some of the items let the main breakfast...
