"Excellent location. Hotel is dated but staff were very helpful and on our first night we were facing the Main Street and the street noise was very loud until about 2 am. We just mentioned it to the front desk the next morning and right away the gentleman offered to move us to a quieter room facing the inner courtyard. The rest of our stay was wonderful. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel even though that was an option just because there were so many food options in the area. We chose this hotel because of its location "

"Very pleasant stay. Short walk to nearest metro station and a 10 min walk to notre dame. Polite and helpful staff. Clean room and very good bathroom with shower. Was surprised by the great quality of breakfast. Excellent value. Would highly recommend."

"This place is much smaller than advertised. The reception desk is a tiny table right under the stairwell! The rooms are small. The rooms are very old (in desperate need of remodeling) and use the old fashioned method of requiring you to place your room key in a slot to get light. The hallway is very dark. For safety reasons, the lights should always remain lit. You shouldnt step off the small elevator and be plunged into darkness. The best hope they have is to reimagine themselves as an elegant boutique hotel. There are cards in the room that state you will get a complimentary tote bag. When we asked the manager about this she seemed puzzled by this and then said she didnt have any. The breakfast not only looked stale but despite the fact that we were paying customers the lady monitoring the check in list said she couldnt find our names "

"As advertised (and reviewed). Hotel Baume is a beautiful boutique hotel in a beautiful area, very walkable to shopping, bistros, parks, theaters and more. It’s impeccably furnished with art deco theme. Our room was a suite with a large terrace, very quiet and serene. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We will certainly be back. Just a lovely experience over all. The hotel is a few minute walk from the Jardin du Luxembourg, a must see."
