"We loved the cabin we stayed in at Holy Smoke. The woman who checked us in was very knowledgeable and was always reachable by phone. Everything was clean and accommodating. I liked that they would trade out your linens every morning when you needed them to and the location was close to Historic Keystone. It was nice and quiet as well. "

"The 5 stars is for the front desk lady in the morning. She's warm and welcoming. I hesitated about the tunnels at Needles Highway but with her warm assurance, I drove one of the memorable drives in Custer State Park. Needles Eye wasn't as narrow as I thought. The motel and the room were dated. I personally don't like beds with those old school coverings. That said, I would stay there again. The motel is in a very convenient location; virtually at the foot of Mount Rushmore. Restaurants...
"The motel was clean and quiet. Numerous food options at the other end of the parking lot. Within walking distance of attractions, restaurants, shops, displays, and things to do. In addition, it was the cheapest place I could find but did not sacrifice quality. A welcome surprise."
"really close to lots of tourist spots, i enjoyed shopping and eating in areas near by. also super well placed town in between rapid city and custard. we loved staying in a lodge instead of a hotel. "
