"This was our absolute favourite of the ten places we stayed on our South Island road trip. Our room was fabulous with a spacious bedroom, bathroom, and living area/kitchenette. We had a large balcony with loungers, a table and chairs and a beautiful view plus an indoor/outdoor jet tub. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary use of the pools, hot tubs, steam room and sauna. The staff was lovely and the breakfast buffet was top notch."

"A really nice backpackers hostel. The rooms were well put together and warm during the winter. Lots of space in the kitchen and lounge and bathrooms are being renovated. Staff were really helpful and hospitable - I'd stay here again, for sure. One of the most comfortable places I have stayed on my trip through NZ."

"Nautilus is a lovely property with quick access to Abel-Tasman National Park, grocery, restaurants/pubs and shopping! Both of our 2 reserved rooms were large, clean & quiet with very comfortable beds. Fluffy bathroom towels were hung on a heated towel rack. Kitchenette included cooktop, microwave, frig and was fully stocked with lots of serving plates/cups and cookware. Balcony was a nice bonus for private relaxation. Free on-site car parking.
