"It was lovely. It was quiet and away from people, v close to local amenities and sites. The WiFi is spotty but that is no criticism, it was great to know i could just read a book without constantly checking my screen. Will definitely come again."

"Convenient location and clean. Easy checkin with the key available from pub across the road. Had unusual single cup kettle and coffee maker and good selection of teas and coffees. Lights and bathroom tap were on timing sensors and both were a bit annoying particularly the tap when you were trying to fill a jug for the kettle. Bedclothing was a bit tired and there were only 2 fairly flat pillows on a standard size double bed. The thing I really didn’t like though was the musty smell of bedding...

"I had a good stay at the Castle Hotel. Lovely little hotel, super comfy bed and gorgeous bed linen. The room was spotless and generous tea and coffee making facilities. Nice bathroom products. No A/C as it's a beautiful old building, but that was fine as was able to open windows and control the radiator. I didn't have a cooked breakfast but buffet options were fine and the other guests seemed to be enjoying their cooked food. I will stay again, thank you."

"Everything about our stay was excellent. The accommodation was warm, spotlessly clean and the twin beds very comfortable. The room itself was the smallest in the house but we found it more than adequate and were very happy with the space. Our hosts were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us feel very welcome. "Great location, particularly as we arrived on foot!. Friendly welcome but the suite was tired, with mould behind the bathroom sink and shower. Paint is flaking off the ceiling and the sink tap dripping profusely and noisily which genuinely adversely affected our quality of sleep. Bed mattress very soft. Breakfast was OK with the exception of the fruit; the bananas and grapes were well past their palatable date. Breakfast staff didn't even speak. After just returning from 2 weeks touring...

"We had a lovely stay and the hotel is gorgeous. We loved the old style bar and the decor in the rooms. There were, however, a few flaws which would be worth mentioning considering it is not a cheap hotel. Firstly, there was only one person on reception so we were queuing for a while to check in / out and there was no visible key drop.
