"Entrance and reception were very nice, large car park, staff were lovely and helpful. We had the continental breakfast which was very good. What let's the hotel down is the rooms which are in need of some refurbishment. The bathroom was ok but bedroom had old fashioned well worn furniture and there was a stale musty smell in the room but this could have been stale cigarette smoke as there were cigarette butts outside the window."

"Had a lovely overnight trip, but was really disappointed I wasn’t informed before travel regarding the maintenance going on. Spa and pool closed, golf restaurant closed, bar closed for refurbishment, did speak to staff and was credited with £50 on my room account. Can’t praise the staff enough as they can only do what they can in the circumstances. Will definitely not be back until all complete. One other thing was the temporary bar was understaffed and very expensive. Rooms are great, clean and comfortable."

"The hotel was fine as far as having everything we needed, but the atmosphere just seemed a little cold. The bar area was amazing though. Much more warm and cozy than the rest of the hotel. Also, our room was on the first floor near the back of the hotel, and they are renovating right now and started working really early right outside our room."

"I had an average overall experience l. The hotel interior is great, the customer service was pleasant but just ok and my room was a disappointment as it had the wirr of the kitchen fans going for the bulk of my stay and no view at all. If booking through a third party it seems to be a norm you could have a room experience like mine. If you want a great room ensure you pay for the view."
