"Nice hotel in a nice location. Some reception staff are more helpful than others. Breakfast is awful. Cleaning staff take all of 1 minute to "refresh" your room. At check in you're asked to give a 1000 baht deposit, which is absolutely fine. At check out we were told that a bottle opener was missing from our room. We had'nt seen or used a bottle opener in the duration of our stay. When my husband had a beer in the room he had to use our nail clippers to open the bottle. Long story short, we were...

We travelled as a family with 3 kids and one parent working, so it was a welcome relief to have the staff so friendly and welcoming to kids. More than that, the staff were helpful on our trips down to the beach or with any questions we had about logistics. Our stay was quiet, in May. "We had a wonderful time at Layana. The transportation from Krabi airport was very much appreciated. It was very hot in Thailand while we were there and the pool was great, we spent hours around it and in it. We rented a scooter to drive around the island, Traffic was limited and we felt safe driving them around the island, Layana recommended the Turtle Beach resort for dinner and it was very good. Now here are the downfalls, which for these reasons I would not stay here again or recommend anyone to stay there.
