"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "Our stay overall was excellent, food & service was spot on & my massage in the spa was unreal (& I’ve experienced many). Only negative I have is our room 340, was right next to the fire door to the lifts and stairs which meant it banged every time someone went through. Also we were woken up by the night staff using the bins at 5am (which would have been 4am if not for the clocks going forward) we were therefore too tired to go down for breakfast which was a shame but we were reimbursed for the cost & an apology was made and room number noted for the noise concern. Would recommend this hotel, maybe avoid any room next to the lifts & stairs. "
