"Hotel des Grauen von Anfang bis Ende. Angekommen nach fast 6 Stunden Fahrt treffen wir auf eine verlassene Rezeption wo eine Telefonnummer hinterlegt war, die gar nicht funktioniert hat. Dann haben wir eine knappe Stunde gewartet bis wir Zimmer eins bekommen haben. Deluxe Suite. Fenstergriff kaputt eiskalt weil das Fenster offen war, die Heizungen funktionierten gar nicht. "The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was lovely--clean and beautiful. I absolutely would stay there again. My only hesitation to give five stars was that our room was up stairs not completely accessed by the elevator, which was difficult for us on account of our heavy bags. (We're not spring chickens!) Also, because the air conditioning was not working well, they added a portable air conditioner (which we did appreciate) which required that a window be left open for the exhaust hose. It took several hours to cool down the room each time we entered for the evening. Other than those issues, our stay was perfect."

"The hotel was absolutely lovely and even with a late arrival they were very pleasant and helpful, even with my awful German language skills! The room was cozy and comfortable. I will also add they had one of the best breakfasts I've yet seen at any hotel. Very extensive with meats and cheeses and patries and all of them were fresh and not store bought. I'll also add the hotel was an easy 15 minute walk through nice residential neighborhoods from the train station. Also it was a similarly pleasant 20 minute walk to the Panzermuseum."
