"Un endroit magnifique. Nous avons été reçu par Lada qui nous a expliqué toutes l'histoire de la région. Nous avous pris la dégustation de vin qui était juste wowww. Nous avons aussi pris la planche de charcuteries et fromages qui était excellente et copieuse. S'il était possible de mettre 6 étoiles à cet hébergement ce ne serait même pas assez, tout était plus que parfait et que dire de la vue qui est a couper le souffle. Petit déjeuner inclus, Belle piscine infinité. Merci à toute l'équipe et...
"Our stay at Quinta da Marka was incredible! The location was perfect, the accomodations were excellent and the staff was superb. We truly enjoyed our stay here and spending time with Angela, Anabella and Mom. What a perfect hidden gem on the river. We're already planning our return!"
"As the name implies, set in Douro valley with great view of the river below. We used as a rest stop, with no touring. Beautiful location with nice sunrise and sunsets. Nice room, but steps to and from meals and pool. Best be fit to enjoy the area."
"Beautiful location/setting. Pool was nice at end of a long day. Staff were wonderful,we had an amazing evening enjoying a dinner and wine while taking in the view on our patio. Personal touch as only five guest rooms. Breakfast in morning was included and great way to start off the day"
"Endroit superbe le personnel est si gentil. Nos meilleurs déjeuners et que dire de leur plateau de charcuteries et fromage à essayer assurément. Le décor a lui seul rend l’endroit exceptionnel le reste est du bonus! "Hele mooie plek om te verblijven. Het was alleen jammer dat het leek alsof we tussen drukke periodes kwamen. De mooie tuin stond er een beetje rommelig en verlaten bij. Maar personeel was uiterst behulpzaam en vriendelijk."

"Torel Quinta da Vacaria was the most beautiful and best stay in Douro Valley. The hotel was an architectural marvel, with its state of the art spa to the most spectacular views of the river. But the best part was its amazing staff and impecable service. This had been one of the best hotels we have stayed in the world and we HIGHLY recommend it."

"La propriétaire est charmante, malgré qu' elle ne parle pas un mot d'anglais ni de français, elle se débrouille avec son téléphone et nous donne tous les renseignements nécessaires et les bons restaurants où aller. Le déjeuner est très bon, un vrai déjeuner familial. L' etat des lieux n' est pas parfait mais l' expérience humaine avec les propriétaires compassent totalement. Une vraie immersion portugaise que je referais sans hésiter. "
"This was a very unexpected and wonderful experience. The location is in a very small town. Make sure you use google maps or you might go to the wrong location. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. The husband is a chef and will cook you an amazing dinner and they have wonderful wines from their vineyard. The vineyard is operated by their twin daughters and it is a great story. If you are in the area this is definitely the place you want to stay. "
