A grand hotel providing comfortable, spotlessly clean accomodation & courteous, helpful staff. The hotel is set in attractive gardens with an immaculate pool which is maintained to an excellent standard by the poolside assistant who promptly provides mattresses & towels as required. A visit to the Hydro Spa (the Banyan Tree), owned by the hotel, is a MUST! We stayed on a B&B basis & Breakfast was buffet style with a good variety of sweet & savoury options, hot & cold choices & was plentiful....

The aim was to have a relaxed, calm break and we got that from the wonderful country, hotel, food and weather! The hotel is close enough to Lisbon (20 minutes by train which was roughly €3 return) but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings! The staff were wonderful and could not do enough to accommodate all our needs. From arriving in Estoril to getting the cab to the airport it was an impressive 5 day break at Hotel Inglaterra. Getting to the hotel from the airport wasn't a problem, taking the aerobes into Lisbon(30mins) before catching the metro west to Estoril(35mins), around €7 total. The metro offers stunning views of the coast line too. From the metro station it is around a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel. Having the metro station so close is ideal for those who want to explore Cascais (2 stops west) or...

Well maintained hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Close to all amenities and the Metro, but nevertheless in a quiet street - 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Nice touches with complimentary port, cherry liqueur and afternoon tea with pastries. We had a sudden need for medical assistance late in the evening and the staff were brilliant in getting it sorted.
